I'm married and have 4 grown children and have 6 beautiful grandchildren.
I have crafted on and off since a child of around 5, I think I knitted my first scarf for my father aged 6 - in summer..poor Dad. On Sundays we use to do origami paper folding from a tv show (in the early 1970's) before this. I remember being so excited about this show and waiting for my father to be finished with the Sunday papers so I could start squaring the paper up ready for the show to start. I still have a fascination with paper. As a child my main passion was to crochet, teaching myself from books from the school library as with knitting. I started to sew when my children were little, they are so nonjudgmental and loved anything that I made for them. I am now again enjoying this wonderful feeling with my grandchildren. Some crafts I have enjoyed over the years..cross stitching, hand embroidery, paper making, making cards, screen printing. A recent addition has been an embroidery machine, having so much fun with this. My husband has built a room for me to enjoy my sewing and crafting in "Nana's Nook" With a veranda to enjoy sitting on and having a cuppa. And the Grandchildren love playing on.
